A chance to participate in the organization of one of the biggest sporting events in Serbia
Anyone who loves tennis, the excitement of major sports events, and wants to be a part of organizing one of the biggest sports events in the country and the region will have the opportunity to do so at the upcoming Belgrade Open 2024 tennis tournament. The organizers have already opened applications for volunteers.
From November 2nd to November 9th, the Belgrade Arena will be at the center of the tennis world, and, as always, volunteers will be an essential part of the organization of this major tennis event.
“Organizing a sports event requires a team effort from a large number of people, and among the most important team members are undoubtedly the volunteers, whose support is present in almost all sectors of the organization. Over the past 3 years, more than 900 volunteers have been involved in our tournaments, gaining the opportunity to learn how a sports event functions “behind the scenes” and to turn their volunteering experience into valuable connections and professional opportunities,” emphasized Đorđe Đoković, director of the Belgrade Open 2024.
“We always try to ensure that all volunteers gain valuable experience and develop important skills through various tasks and responsibilities, which will be very useful in their future professional development. We are particularly proud of the fact that many of our volunteers have become team members and now have a chance to manage certain sectors during the tournament while mentoring new generations of volunteers,” Đoković added, inviting everyone interested to apply for volunteering.
At this tournament, volunteers will have the opportunity to work in various sectors such as logistics, player services, media, protocol, ticketing, and more. Experienced coordinators will oversee the entire volunteering process, providing full support and ensuring that volunteers leave the event with new knowledge and valuable experience.
