Project “1 ticket – 1 tree“ received the oldest ecological award in Serbia as a part of the action ’’We are looking for the biggest polluter and biggest protector of the environment“
Symbolically, on the World Environment Day, at the ecological center “Radulovacki” in Sremski Karlovci, company Legacy International and tennis tournament Serbia Open, received an important recognition called – “Special recognition: Green Leaf”, for the ecological project “1 ticket – 1 tree”.
The “Green Leaf” award is the oldest and most famous ecological award in Serbia. It has been awarded for the last 39 years by Radio Belgrade 2 and Vojvodina Environmental Movement.
The goal of this award and action ’’We are looking for the biggest polluter and biggest protector of the environment “ is the improvement of environmental protection trough awarding and promoting selected individuals, associations, companies, and projects that have significantly contributed to the preservation and improvement of the environment in Serbia, or likewise, the ones who were the biggest polluters.
Accordingly, in addition to the “Green Leaf” award, an award called “Black Leaf” was also given to the organizations and companies that contributed to the pollution of the environment and damaged the natural habitat.
Project “1 ticket – 1 tree“, which aimed to plant one tree in cities across Serbia for every ticket sold at the Serbia Open tournament, was one of 15 biggest protectors of the environment in the year 2021/2022.

The contribution of this project, consisting of 36.000 new trees, on almost 100 hectares of land in 27 cities and in more than 120 locations, was highlighted as one of the most important contributions to the greening of Serbia in the last two decades.
