From 1 – 8 November 2025, Legacy International team organized the first ATP 250 event in Greece in over 30 years, Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship. It was held in the iconic Telekom Center Athens basketball arena (OAKA) in Athens, and it represented a milestone project for the Legacy team, and a new chapter for tennis in Greece.
When the ATP decided to relocate its late season 250 tournament from Belgrade to Athens in 2025, the clock started ticking. With only a few months to prepare, Legacy International team had to turn an idea into a fully functioning international tennis tournament.
The first major task was converting the large indoor arena at the OAKA complex into an ATP-ready tennis venue. This meant installing professional hardcourts, setting up broadcast lighting, arranging player facilities, designing seating that brought fans close to the action, and many more.
Battling a very tight schedule, Legacy team transformed a world-class basketball arena into a world-class tennis venue. By building an outstanding Center Court, an additional match court, two practice courts, and a large, interactive, and unique FAN Zone, the transformation gave Athens an indoor tennis arena that matched global tour standards.
The entire on-ground organization was completed in just over 70 days, and the setup and transformation of the venue was finished in under 3 days. A record time, for the event of this scale.

One of the biggest achievements was assembling a strong player field for the tournament’s debut. By drawing on relationships built at previous ATP events and the trust players have in the quality of the tournaments organized by Legacy team, the tournament attracted big-name players to Athens, such as Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti and Stan Wawrinka giving the championship immediate credibility.

What began as a fast-tracked relocation turned into a polished, memorable event for Greek tennis fans, and the numbers and statistics are there to confirm it.
During the 8 days of the tournament, over 80,000 fans from around the world visited the tournament, while more than 70 tennis players from 35 countries, 250 volunteers, 30 ball kids, and fantastic group of partners and sponsors, together with millions of viewers worldwide made the tournament unique and memorable.
The finals, held on 8.11 made the event even more spectacular and came as a reward for all the hard work in a very challenging timeline.
In the doubles final, Francisco Cabral and Lucas Miedler triumphed after an exciting battle against Santiago González and David Pel, taking home the championship trophies.
And then came THE singles final. In front of more than 15,000 spectators, top seeds Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti put on a fantastic show of skill and athleticism, with Novak Djokovic lifting the singles winner’s trophy, the 101st title of his career.
Thanks to combining rapid logistical planning, experienced tournament staff, strong sponsor relationships and efficient venue conversion, Legacy International team managed to organize the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Hellenic Championship and deliver a memorable first ATP 250 event in Athens, making it the new standout stops on the ATP calendar.
