Hellenic Championship, held from 1st to 8th of November 2025, is the first indoor hard-court ATP 250 tournament to be organized in Athens, Greece in more than 30 years.
The tournament was relocated from Belgrade to Athens, and marked a historic return of professional tennis to Greece and a new chapter for professional tennis in Southeast Europe.
It was held in the legendary Telekom Center Athens basketball arena (OAKA), with over 20.000 seats capacity and an amazing but complex infrastructure. Legacy team had just 70 days to deliver the entire on-ground organization, and under 3 days to transform a world-class basketball arena into a world-class tennis venue.
By building an outstanding Center Court, an additional match court, two practice courts, and a large, interactive, and unique FAN Zone, Legacy team managed to give Athens an indoor tennis arena that matched global tour standards.
By drawing on relationships built at previous ATP events and the trust players have in the quality of the tournaments organized by Legacy team, the tournament attracted big-name players to Athens, such as Novak Djokovic, Lorenzo Musetti and Stan Wawrinka giving the championship immediate credibility.
What began as a fast-tracked relocation turned into a polished, memorable event for Greek tennis fans, and the numbers and statistics are there to confirm it.
During the 8 days of the tournament, over 80,000 fans from around the world visited the tournament, while more than 70 tennis players from 35 countries, 250 volunteers, 30 ball kids, and fantastic group of partners and sponsors, together with millions of viewers worldwide made the tournament unique and memorable.
