After 9 years of the last ATP professional tennis tournament held in Belgrade, in 2021 our team gathered to organize the new and refurbished edition of Serbia Open, making the Serbian capital, Belgrade, “the new home of tennis”.

Since then, Serbia Open tournament became, not only a true tennis spectacle and a great comeback of professional tennis to the land of sports – how Serbia is popularly known – but also something that the citizens of Belgrade and Serbia can be proud of and a place where they can share the love for tennis and sports with their families.

The latest edition of Serbia Open was held from 17–24 April, in 2022. Almost 40,000 people on the stands, as well as fans watching from home on more than 130 TV stations across the world, enjoyed the “clashes on clay” during 8 days in April in the heart of Belgrade, and sent the most beautiful picture into the world.

The first “refurbished” edition of the Serbia Open was held in April, 2021. Although played without fans in the stands and organized in challenging conditions, due to Covid19 restrictions, it was the most important sports event in Serbia and the region. It gathered crème de la crème of tennis, such as Novak Djokovic, Mateo Berrettini, Gael Monfils, Fernando Verdasco, and many others.

Once again, names such as Novak Djokovic, Andrey Rublev, Holger Rune, Fabio Fognini, Karen Khachanov, as well as Dominic Thiem, who chose Serbia Open as his comeback tournament after a long break from tennis, made this event spectacular and thrilled fans who were finally allowed to enjoy tennis from the stands.

In 2022, and the second year of the “new” Serbia Open, we could finally organize a tournament just the way tennis players and fans remember it. And we embraced this opportunity completely!

What is more, as a part of the Serbia Open 2022 tournament we also realized the project “1 ticket – 1 tree”, which committed to planting one tree across Serbia for every ticket sold at the tournament. We planted  36.000 trees and made this the biggest action of forestation in Serbia in the last 20 years.
