The Srpska Open tournament was quite a special ATP 250 tournament for us, because in 2023, we decided to temporarily relocate our tournament from Belgrade to the neighboring city of Banjaluka in the Republic of Srpska.
This was the biggest sports event in the Republic of Srpska in the last 30 years, and names like Novak Djokovic, Andrey Rublev, Stan Wawrinka, Gaels Monfils, Dusan Lajovic, and many others who participated in the competition, made it even more meaningful and memorable.

Having in mind that Banjaluka has a long sports tradition, and that the city has successfully hosted an ATP Challenger tournament for last 20 years, Banjaluka was the only logical and most certainly the best choice for such a major shift.
However, we managed almost the impossible. In little over 4 months, we built a new Central Court on more than 9000 m2, that was able to welcome over 6000 tennis fans. In addition, we completely reconstructed two additional match courts which together were able to welcome more than 4000 fans. On top of that, we refurbished 8 practice courts and built a spacious FAN zone and village for all the visitors.
It was extremely challenging to improve the existing infrastructure of the National Tennis Centre in Banjaluka, and keep up with the ATP requirements, but also our own standards of organization we set in previous years.
